About Us

Herbal tea is not to be confused with regular black or green tea. Herbal tea is caffeine free and is predominantly created from herbs, spices or other plant material. It is a great way to calm the mind as well as prevent certain illnesses.

The Enchanted Kettle started in 2016 with the knowledge of our forefathers and passionate tea lovers who had cultivated a keen interest in st. Lucia’s traditional natural health and wellness culture. When we started learning more about the powerful impact the healing traditions of our island had on its people, we wanted to help channel it in an accessible and sustainable form.

St. Lucia’s traditions of using herbs, roots, plants and barks to heal and treat ailments has lasted generations and for good reason. There are many indigenous natural healing gifts from St. Lucia’s bounty that are hidden gems but have proven effects.

We wanted to preserve as much of the nutrients and goodness as possible from the roots, herbs and flowers we knew so much about so we created a line of handcrafted teas that was unlike anything on the market. Blends backed by science and crafted from healing traditions in the Caribbean that had no fillers, no additives and not a single thing more than the root, plant or herb that was stated on the label.

We work with micro-farmers closely to ensure the very best quality ingredients are wildcrafted, while doing everything possible to respect the environment throughout the process. We minimally process our ingredients and hand blend them to perfection to create not only an incredibly powerful healing tea, but a tasty experience in every cup. We love what we do and believe in the magic of St. Lucia’s healing bounty,  we don’t over polish or process the natural ingredients we use in order to preserve the healing goodness. We hope you love our products as much as we do!

The Eastern Caribbean Island of Saint Lucia is world famous for the breathtaking beauty of its pristine beaches and thriving coral reefs. But there's something remarkable about this tropical paradise that is not commonly known... there's a veritable medicine chest flourishing in the island's fields and forests.

Saint Lucia is a treasure trove of natural remedies that many experts say relieve, prevent and, in some cases, actually cure a host of chronic maladies including hypertension, indigestion, ulcers and more...

Over the past few decades, research out of major universities worldwide has attested to the truth of what our ancestors have known all along: that the special, protective, healing properties of herbs and spices can continue to support, restore, and revitalize our bodies, minds, and spirits today and for generations to come. These are just some of the many benefits of herbal teas.

Teas Vs Tisanes, What is the difference?

A true tea is any infusion of tea plant (camellia sinensis) leaves in water, whether it's just the tea plant by itself or a blend of plant leaves and other ingredients.

A tisane (pronounced "tea-ZAHN") is a hot or cold infusion or concoction made from herbs, spices, leaves, flowers, fruits, berries, seeds, roots, bark, or any combination of these that doesn't contain leaves of Camellia  sinensis plant. Flavorful and naturally caffefine free, tisanes are consumed for enjoyment and often for their health properties.

Tea Fact

Besides its many known health benefits, current research from The Food Marketing Institute places tea among the four most often purchased natural food items.
